According to the health inspection report, 15 violations were noted. The violations are as follows:
- There was no soap at the handsink in the kitchen. As a corrective action, it was placed at the handsink.
- Health inspectors observed black mold-like growths on the inside of the ice machine in the expo area. The ice was discarded, and the machine was drained.
- A large bucket of hush puppy batter dated 09/08/2025 was observed in the walk-in cooler, as noted in the report. 7 lbs of the product were embargoed.
- Health inspectors noted a bin of hush puppy batter dated 09/12/2025. 6 lbs of the product were embargoed.
- During inspection, two large buckets of house-made ranch dated 08/21/2025 were found stored in the walk-in cooler. A total of 30 lbs of product was embargoed.
- Cornbread batter on the cookline measured 54°F. The person in charge stated it is normally returned to the cooler or placed in an ice bath to maintain 41°F or below. At the time of inspection, no ice bath was in use, the report noted.
- Health inspectors observed multiple small flies throughout the kitchen.
- The Atech dishwasher was seen with a significant leak, causing water to discharge onto the floor and pool throughout the kitchen.
- Black mold-like growths on racks inside the expo reach-in cooler were observed.
- Women’s restroom hand sinks (two) were observed without a hot water supply.
- Stagnant wastewater was seen pooling in multiple areas of the kitchen, coming from the dishwasher.
- The report noted that the floors were damaged throughout the kitchen.
- Health inspectors observed a buildup of food debris and grease behind kitchen equipment.
- Fan guards in the walk-in cooler were heavily covered with dust.
Follow-up Inspection
The Tennessee Health Department has instructed the restaurant to follow up in 10 days after fixing the critical violations. The report noted that violation of an identical risk factor may result in the revocation of the food permit of the restaurant.
