Domino’s is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) ahead of Fire Prevention Week for a campaign with a flavorful twist. Beginning October 5, households nationwide will receive fire safety messages delivered with a pizza-themed twist.

Domino’s Collaborates with the National Fire Protection Association

Domino’s, the pizza giant, has partnered with the NFPA for this year’s Fire Prevention Week (October 5 to 11) to raise awareness about fire safety.

Customers ordering from participating Domino’s stores across the U.S. may see their pizzas delivered accompanied by local fire engines. Free pizzas will be offered to customers whose homes’ smoke alarms are functioning optimally. If not, local firefighters will replace the batteries or install working smoke alarms.

“Every year, Domino’s stores look forward to teaming up with their local fire departments and NFPA to spread fire safety messages excitingly and unexpectedly,” said Jenny Fouracre, Domino’s senior director of external communications. “Domino’s has brought this program to neighborhoods across the U.S. for 18 years now, helping reinforce the importance of working smoke alarms in a fun, impactful way.”

NFPA has officially sponsored Fire Prevention Week since 1922. The National Archives and Records Administration’s Library Information Center recognizes it as the longest-running public health and safety observance. Since 1925, the President of the U.S. has signed an annual proclamation recognizing Fire Prevention Week as a national observance.

NFPA’s Lithium-Ion Battery Safety Guidelines

The participating U.S. outlets will focus on the campaign theme for 2025, “Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” The flyers will be available on top of the Domino’s boxes and feature crucial fire safety tips, including the need to buy, charge, and recycle lithium-ion batteries safely.

“Fire continues to present real risks to the public, particularly at home, where the majority of U.S. home fire deaths happen,” said Lorraine Carli, NFPA’s vice president of outreach and advocacy. “Having working smoke alarms in the home is critical to safety, giving people the time needed to escape safely – whatever the cause of that fire may be.”

NFPA is centering its 2025 campaign on lithium-ion batteries as they carry potential fire-related risks, emphasizing the need for a working smoke alarm.

The nonprofit organization advises people to install smoke alarms on each level of their homes, including basements, bedrooms, and hallways. Once installed, they must test the alarms each month using the test button. Smoke alarms that are broken or older than 10 years must be replaced, as per the NFPA.

About the NFPA and Domino’s

Since 1896, the NFPA has worked to prevent fire, electrical, and other hazard-related deaths, injuries, and economic losses. The global nonprofit shares expert information via 300 consensus-based codes and standards, along with training, education, research, advocacy, and outreach.

NFPA regularly partners with companies to advance its fire safety mission. The latest Domino’s collaboration marks a step forward in this direction.

The pizza brand, since its inception in 1960, has been a popular name with over 21,500 outlets in more than 90 markets. Domino’s posted over $19.4 billion in global retail sales in the 12 months ended June 15, 2025. Its independent franchise owners make up around 99% of the total stores, as of the second quarter this year. The pizza giant accounted for over 85% of U.S. retail sales last year through digital channels.

Through this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, the two organizations aim to serve up more than pizza by combining community engagement with public safety.
