A new Waffle House is officially in the works for Kingwood, according to a recently filed state permit. The restaurant will be located at 1301 Northpark Drive, positioning the brand in a high-traffic corridor that connects residents to local shopping centers and major roadways.
The permit outlines a ground-up build for the restaurant, with plans calling for a 1,840-square-foot space. The project is being developed as new construction, making way for a fresh build rather than a remodel or takeover of an existing structure.
Known for its round-the-clock service and signature diner menu, Waffle House has a loyal following across the South. The Kingwood addition will expand the chain’s reach in the Houston area, giving locals and travelers alike a new stop for breakfast, late-night meals, and everything in between.
Work is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2027, with an expected completion date of December 1, 2027.
