Mr. Teriyaki is continuing to expand its footprint across San Antonio. According to a recently submitted permit application, the building of the fourth family-owned hibachi-style restaurant will begin in November at 9951 IH-10.

Mr. Teriyaki co-owner Yilong Chen confirms with What Now San Antonio that he expects to wrap up construction and open the doors to the new location in April 2026.

“It’s a great area! After working so hard to open the third location, we expect the process for this location to go much smoother,” Chen said.

Following the success of its flagship location at 6824 San Pedro Avenue and outpost at 8603 Highway 151, Suite 109, Chen and his brother were working toward opening a third location at 12922 Potranco Road, Suite 134, slated to open at the end of November.

What Now San Antonio reported in May that renovations to the existing 2,996-square-foot space were slated to begin on July 14 and be completed by the end of November. Chen confirmed in a recent conversation that this is still the plan, along with the opening of the 9951 IH-10 location in April of next year, and intentions to open two more by the end of 2026.

This fourth location will live in The Colonnade III, a shopping center along IH-10 that features two eateries, an escape room, and a bike shop.

You can expect the same family-friendly atmosphere and authentic Japanese cuisine. The menu includes a variety of teriyaki plates, bento boxes, and sushi rolls. For drinks, milk tea and beer are offered.

An exact opening date for Mr. Teriyaki on 9951 IH-10 has yet to be announced, but come next year, you can expect to see more than one pop-up in the area, starting with this fourth location in April.
