Hard Rock Casino Tejon is officially opening its doors on Thursday, November 13, 2025. This is going to be the first full-scale casino and entertainment resort in Kern County. Hard Rock International, in collaboration with the Tejon Indian Tribe, has announced this $600 million project.
The new resort will offer world-class gaming, dining, and entertainment experiences for Kern County visitors. The opening is expected to bring hundreds of jobs, local investment, and new cultural opportunities for the Tejon Indian Tribe and Kern County.

Location and Accessibility
The entertainment complex sits at the base of the historic Grapevine Mountain Pass at the southern tip of the San Joaquin Valley. Hard Rock Casino Tejon is less than 15 miles south of Bakersfield.
The location offers easy access for visitors from both Southern California and the Central Valley. The resort will be the second-closest full-scale casino to Los Angeles, reachable via a direct highway drive.

The gaming floor spans 150,000 square feet. It will have more than 2,000 slot machines and over 50 live table games. There will also be VIP rooms.
Music lovers will enjoy the curated collection of authentic music memorabilia, and there will be a Rock Shop offering exclusive Hard Rock merchandise. Guests can enroll in Unity by Hard Rock, a loyalty program offering exclusive opening promotions, custom rewards, and VIP perks.
A Landmark Development for Kern County
This new entertainment complex created thousands of construction jobs. When it opens, it will offer 1,000 permanent jobs in the area.
