It looks like a local Mediterranean-inspired café chain is expanding to the northeast suburbs of Boston.

According to leasing documents, Pressed Café is opening its first location in Beverly at the Cummings Center business complex, taking over the former site of Acapulcos Mexican Family Restaurant & Cantina at 900 Cummings Center.

The expansion marks another milestone for the fast-growing local brand, which currently operates 10 locations across Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire, including a newly opened Seaport site and a Burlington outpost that’s in the process of expanding.

Known for its all-day, fast-casual menu, Pressed serves up seasonally-inspired options like salads, paninis, soups, smashburgers, smoothies, and coffee, plus a variety of cocktails, mocktails, and vegan-friendly fare. Fan favorite menu items include the Banh Mi Panini, Mexi Cali Bowl, Roasted Red Pepper Tomato Bisque, and Mango Passion Fruit Smoothie.

Although husband-and-wife founders Miri and Roi Shpindler could not be reached for comment at the time of publication, a post in the What’s Up North Shore Facebook group mentions that the new eatery is expected to open sometime in the summer of 2026, offering dine-in, carryout, and catering services.

Once it debuts, Pressed Beverly will join a lively mix of eateries already at Cummings Center, such as Early Harvest Diner, Flip the Bird, Grass Market, Regina Pizzeria, Soall Café, Tony’s 2 Go, and The Whoo(pie) Wagon.
