Auntie Anne’s sweet treats are coming to H.E.B., and the story behind the new franchise location is just as sweet. According to Texas permit documents, the new snack spot is expected to open at 9710 KATY FWY, Room #150, at the beginning of 2026.
Franchisee co-owner of the new sweet eatery, Dayo Seton, told What Now Houston that he will own and operate the location with his wife, Funto.
“We always do everything together,” Seton said. “We’ve been looking for opportunities to not just start a business but also give back to the community in terms of jobs, mentorship opportunities for younger folks, and our love of food.”
The couple have been practicing lawyers for more than a decade. Now they have their sights set on a sweet opportunity in an even sweeter location.
“They have a pretty steady high volume of shoppers that come there repeatedly,” Seton said.
“It’s definitely more accessible than the inside mall ones, which require you to get to the mall, park, and all of that. But, with H.E.B., it’s very convenient while you’re there to grab something for the kids.”
The H.E.B. at the Village Plaza at Bunker Hill recently opened, offering its usual groceries, deli, and more. This new Auntie Anne’s will live inside the store. Seton shares that he intends to keep all the usual Auntie Anne’s offerings, with the possibility of adding specialized items once the business is up and running.
For Seton and his family, this opening is fueled by love for each other and Auntie Anne’s delectables.
“This opportunity seemed like something that aligned with our passion and our objectives,” Seton said.
When asked why an Auntie Anne’s, Dayo simply replied, “Our kids love Auntie Anne’s! They love the franchise, they love the meals. They’ve been very passionate about it since they tried it, and oftentimes we find ourselves driving all over town to go look for Auntie Anne’s stores.”
Well, now the Setons won’t have to, as they embark on opening an Auntie Anne’s of their own!
While permits show that construction should be completed in February 2026, Seton said he’s unsure when exactly they will open next year, but is pushing for either December 2025 or early 2026.
“We look forward to seeing and entertaining everyone at Auntie Anne’s. This is something that we’ve been thinking about, and we definitely look forward to sharing that vision and that passion with all of our consumers,” Seton said.
