Movita Juice Bar is on a mission to ensure you “have a healthy day.” It’s one of the greetings you’ll hear when you walk into its first Texas location, set to open in Sugar Land at 3344A US Highway 6 early next year.
According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, the new açaà bowls and smoothie brand will open this first Texas location in the Williams Trace Plaza alongside Bombay Delight and Unique Nails.
Leading the charge in this sweet and healthy endeavor is franchisee Javier Campos, who spoke to What Now Houston about the new opening.
“We’re community-oriented and look forward to bringing healthy food and drink options to the community,” Campos said.
The highly experienced restaurateur shared that construction should be complete by mid-January, with a grand opening set for the first of February.
The menu from this healthy drink option company will be the same as its more than 20 locations dispersed throughout California, with one special exception. Known for its organic non-GMO açaà bowls, non-pasteurized raw juices, functional beverages, juice shots, and smoothies, the minds behind Movita Juice Bar work hard to put the healthy in every wish to “have a healthy day.”
“With Movita, we focus on our raw, fresh, and customizable products without freezing any of our products,” Campos said. “For example, our made-in-home almond milk is made from only almonds, clean protein (no artificial ingredients), no added sugars (only agave nectar), and açaà straight from Brazil.”
In addition to its multiple drink options and fresh açaà bowls, Movita Juice Bar also offers a variety of specialized toasts ranging from the widely-beloved avocado toast to an almond butter toast that can be loaded with deliciously healthy fruits.
A first for Movita Juice Bar will appear at this new location in Sugar Land. The health eatery is forging into the hot drinks territory, offering a selection of hot drinks like Chai Hot Tea for the first time at the very first Texas Movita Juice Bar. Campos shared that the plan is to roll these hot beverages out at the other locations after introducing them to the Texas market.
“What sets Movita apart is not just its commitment to freshness and health but also its dedication to sustainability and a superior customer experience,” the Movita Juice Bar website reads.
According to the eatery’s website, Movita Juice Bar was born out of a “life-changing wake-up call.” The eco-friendly juice brand was founded by two business partners, one whose child was facing a life-threatening cancer diagnosis.
“It was during the child’s medical treatment that the two business founders joined in their mission to better educate themselves and their families for healthier eating habits,” the website details.
That family is now the family of a child cancer survivor, and is springing up Movita Juice Bars all over California to keep that mission going.
Now, they’ve taken that mission to Texas, with Campos at the helm.
“We look forward to bringing our mission to the Sugar Land community,” Campos said.
The new franchisee shared that this is only the beginning of Movita Juice Bar making its imprint on Texas. There are plans to open at least two more in the West Houston area by the end of next year. Stick with us for the latest on those developments.
But, for now, prepare to have the opportunity to “have a healthy day” every day when the new Movita Juice Bar opens in Sugar Land in February 2026.
