Global City Development and Gilu Development, in partnership with Shawmut Design and Construction, broke ground on Tech Tower, a new 23-story development in Sweetwater. The project is set to deliver 517 upscale apartments along with modern amenities and ground-floor retail space.
Tech Tower Groundbreaking Marks Start of 23-Story Development
The event marks a major milestone in Sweetwater’s continued growth and development. The project aims to help meet Sweetwater’s rising demand for quality housing. The ceremony drew key leaders from the city and development teams behind the project.
Representing Global City Development were Brian Pearl, Principal and Co-Founder; Adam Adler, Principal; and Alec Muñoz, Senior Vice President of Construction. Gilu Development Principal Luis Bermudez and Shawmut’s Florida Head Alexis Leal were part of the celebration.
Sweetwater Mayor Jose “Pepe” Diaz joined the ceremony as a special guest. Held at 10 a.m. at 10921 SW 7th Street, the event highlighted Sweetwater’s commitment to growth and introduced Arquitectonica’s design for Tech Tower.
Workforce Housing with Luxury Amenities in Sweetwater
Tech Tower is designed to offer concierge-level services and upscale amenities. The 517 high-end apartments will come with 28,197 square feet of amenity space and 2,923 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
Amenities at Tech Tower include a yoga lawn and fitness studios. Residents will have access to a lounge, rooftop pool deck, and club room. The project aims to elevate workforce housing by pairing attainable rents with high-end amenities.
