Chocolate Bash, a dessert shop known for its chocolate-covered crepes, waffles, and other sweet treats, is getting ready to open in Downey and Hollywood as part of a new multi-unit expansion in Southern California.
The upcoming locations are part of a three-unit franchise deal signed by Mohamad Ghacham, Mohamed Husseini Saab, and Ali Ghacham, who will open shops in Anaheim, Downey, and Hollywood, according to Restaurant News. The first of the group is expected to launch soon in Downey, with details on the Hollywood opening still to come. While specific opening dates have not been confirmed, customers can expect Chocolate Bash’s full menu of indulgent dessert options.
Founded in Newport Beach, Chocolate Bash has grown from a local concept into an international brand, with locations across the U.S. and the Middle East. The brand’s expansion has been fueled by franchising efforts and increasing demand for dessert-focused destinations in walkable, high-traffic areas.
The Downey and Hollywood locations are part of a broader growth strategy aimed at reaching younger, urban consumers in areas with heavy foot traffic and a strong appetite for unique, grab-and-go dessert offerings. Chocolate Bash has previously seen success in similar markets and continues to target vibrant communities for expansion.
The concept is best known for its crepes, waffles, pancakes, and fruit-topped desserts, all served with generous layers of chocolate, sauces, and customizable toppings. Signature items include the Bash Roll, Bash Bites, and made-to-order Belgian waffles.
“We’re excited to welcome Mohamad, Mohamed, and Ali to our growing network,” said Rasha Albasha, Founder and CEO of Chocolate Bash Franchising LLC. “Their passion for quality and community aligns perfectly with our brand, and we can’t wait to see their success in these vibrant cities.”
