Bacio di Latte, a Brazil-based gelato brand known for its handcrafted, Italian-style offerings, is getting ready to open in San Jose at Santana Row.
The company’s upcoming location is scheduled to open in early February 2026, according to a report from the Silicon Valley Business Journal. The new storefront will join a growing collection of international dessert concepts at the retail and dining destination, including the forthcoming Johnny Doughnuts. Guests can expect Bacio di Latte’s signature gelato, sorbets, and rotating seasonal flavors made fresh daily in-store.
Founded in São Paulo in 2011 by brothers Edoardo and Luigi, Bacio di Latte was created to share traditional Italian gelato with a global audience. The concept emphasizes transparency, quality, and authenticity by producing gelato for customers and sourcing high-quality ingredients such as Belgian chocolate, Piedmont hazelnuts, and pistachios from Italy. California locations also use organic milk and cream from family farms in Sonoma County.
The company has steadily expanded across California, with existing shops in Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Pasadena, and Newport Beach, among others. Santana Row will mark its first South Bay outpost and broaden its presence beyond the Los Angeles and Orange County markets.
Bacio di Latte is best known for classic flavors such as Cioccolato and Pistacchio, as well as fruit-forward sorbets made with locally sourced produce. A new menu rotation launches every three weeks, introducing customers to limited-time flavors and spotlight ingredients.
The Santana Row shop is expected to follow the same open-kitchen format used in other locations, where gelato is produced fresh daily and served directly from the pozzetti-style display. Guests can follow the brand’s Instagram or website for flavor updates and launch announcements.
