Donatos Pizza, an Ohio-based pizzeria chain, is set to make its first appearance in the greater Houston area at Missouri City‘s Rocky Creek Crossing shopping center. According to Community Impact, Donatos Pizza will open doors at 7260 Hwy 6, Ste. 100 in mid-2026.

The location where the new Donatos Pizza in Houston will go recently belonged to a specialty automotive hub, Detail Garage. There’s no word on why the auto center closed, but it now has only one Houston-area location at  10255 North Freeway. But where one door closes, another business pops up. Donatos Pizza is set to open doors at the 7260 Hwy. 6 Ste. 100 location next year.

The new pizzeria serves Columbus-style pizza, according to its website, and is set to dish out not only pizza, but also subs, salads, wings, and a small variety of desserts.

Donatos began operating in Gahanna, Ohio, in 1963. Founder Jim Grote purchased a Columbus pizza shop at 19 and built it into the family-centered business you see today. The eatery now operates 460 locations across 29 states. Its foray into Texas started just last year with the Frisco location kicking off operations in the Lone Star State.

What Now Houston reached out to the Vice President of company operations, Brian Thompson, but did not receive a response by the time of publication.

According to the company’s website, Donatos’ three-part mission is to craft top-quality pizza, build a strong team, and give back to the community. Donatos literally means “to give a good thing” in Latin, a perfect moniker for the community-based, family-centered pizza joint.

You can expect to see Donatos Pizza open at 7260 Hwy 6, Ste. 100 in mid-2026.
