Mambo’s Café in Buford received an unsatisfactory score after multiple health code violations, largely due to a lack of managerial oversight that led to improper food handling and employee practices.

An open box of raw shrimp was stored above fries and plantains in the upright freezer. The dish machine required repair. Mold-like buildup was found on the food contact surface inside the ice machine.

The facility also had a second consecutive violation of improperly handling time/temperature-controlled food. Based on this and the other violations documented in the health report, the facility received a score of 46. A follow-up inspection will be held within 10 days, and the facility must earn a score of 80 or above.
