Just six months ago, Anthony Orcinolo opened Gallo’s Pollo & Grill in Apopka.

The restaurant, which serves rotisserie chicken, grilled meats, and Latin American classics such as lomo saltado and pork carnitas, gained a loyal following almost immediately.

Now, Gallo’s is opening a second location, taking over the former La Granja location at 490 N. Semoran Boulevard in Winter Park.

According to Orcinolo, the new location will open in the next three to four months, and will serve the same menu of favorites the original Gallo’s offers.  The restaurateur said he was prompted to open a second Gallo’s after all the positive responses to the food he serves. “Just take a look at the reviews we have. They are excellent,” he said.  Yelp reviewers have given the restaurant an average 4.7 out of 5 rating, with a majority of reviewers praising the tender chicken and friendly staff.

The key, says Orcinolo, is that everything is cooked to fresh to order. “We may have a drive-in, but we have real food. If you order a steak, it’s grilled to order. Our rotisserie chickens are made fresh daily.”  Orcinolo says that his goal is to offer a good, solid meal that’s made fresh at an honest price.
