The Works, Atlanta’s Upper Westside mixed-use destination, is kicking off its holiday season with a lineup of festive experiences. Highlights include Big John’s Christmas Trees and the return of fan-favorite Holiday Pet Pics.
Holiday Spirit Comes Alive at The Works

Owned and developed by Selig Enterprises, The Works has kicked off its holiday preparations with “All The Joyful Things,” a celebration loaded with festive activities and experiences. The Upper Westside community can find itself immersed in the magic of the holiday wonderland from November 1.
“The Works is all about bringing the community together, and ‘All The Joyful Things’ is the perfect way to celebrate this holiday season,” said Taana Kow-Mayes, Director of Marketing and Placemaking at Selig. “From first-ever Santa visits to our new partnership with Big John’s Christmas Trees — families and neighbors can enjoy festive activities, shop, dine, and make memories together.”
The festivities offered through All The Joyful Things at The Works are discussed below.
Snaps with Santa
Dates – Nov. 8, 15 & Dec. 13
Attendees can get photo ops with The Real Black Santa as part of the celebrations. Families can visit Suite 200A across from The Camp for photos during scheduled sessions: Nov. 8 from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m., and Dec. 13 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
It should be noted that photos will be first-come, first-served at Snaps with Santa. The Works encourages donations through this part of the celebration, which supports Agape Youth and Family Center.
Santa Sightings
Dates – Nov. 30, Dec. 3, 4, 11 & 12
The Works will continue adventures with The Real Black Santa, who will make special appearances at different tenants spread across the mixed-use destination on select dates. Visitors can spot The Real Black Santa at participating locations and share their holiday wishes. Santa’s schedule is available here.
Big John’s Christmas Trees

Dates – Nov. 18 to Dec. 23
Big John’s Christmas Trees will debut at The Works for the first time this year. The presentation opens Nov. 18, with a grand opening on Nov. 22. Shoppers can browse fresh Christmas trees and handcrafted wreaths in a welcoming indoor/outdoor setting, rain or shine.
Positioned off Chattahoochee Ave. near Ballard Designs, the venue offers Atlanta visitors a warm environment for shoppers searching for the perfect tree. They can visit Big John’s Christmas Trees daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tinseltone Carolers
Date – Nov. 22
The Works is bringing some classic holiday songs through this part of All The Joyful Things. Tinseltone Carolers’ timing coincides with the opening of Big John’s Christmas Trees, adding to the festive atmosphere. Attendees can enjoy the lively performances at The Works from 3 to 6 p.m.
Christmas Back Home featuring Scott Thompson at The Camp
Date – Nov. 29
The festive cheer is set to grow at The Works through a medley of timeless holiday hits reimagined by Christmas Back Home, featuring vocalist Scott Thompson. Atlanta visitors can expect a musical evening set against the backdrop of holiday spirit at The Camp from 2 to 5 p.m.
Holiday Pet Pics

Date – Nov. 29
Atlanta families can bring their pets to The Works for the annual Holiday Pet Pics with Woof Gang. From 1 to 5 p.m., visitors can enjoy festive props, treats, and giveaways at the Camp Street location.
Reindeer Games at The Camp

Date – Dec. 5
Through this part of the holiday celebration, The Camp is set to host festive activities and games, suitable for different ages. A special appearance by live reindeer is a highlight alongside reindeer games and family photo-ops. The happenings will continue from 6 to 9 p.m.
Disco Santa: Beanies + Beats
Date – Dec. 6
The festive energy is going to ramp up with Disco Santa bringing music and giveaways to The Works. Those attending Disco Santa: Beanies + Beats can dance throughout the afternoon to the tunes of a live DJ from 2 to 5 p.m.
Shopping and Dining Opportunities by The Works’ 30+ Tenants

More than 30 tenants at The Works are gearing up for their curated shopping and dining options for all ages.
Y3S prepares to charge up the festive mood at the Upper Westside destination with a Friendsgiving celebration on Nov. 26 from 5 p.m. to midnight. A Black Friday event will continue after this, which includes a gift card promotion, special menu items, and extended hours.
Y3S will carry forward the festive offerings in December as well. Some of these are a Christmas Eve celebration on Dec. 24 (1 to 7 p.m.), a New Year’s Eve: Studio 33 party on Dec. 31 (7 p.m. to 1 a.m.), and Christmas Karaoke on Dec. 26 (noon to midnight).
Another notable name is Chattahoochee Food Works, which is bringing its yearly Jingle Bar on Nov. 28, available all month long. The Upper Westside guests can also wear their preferred holiday attire for the Ugly Sweater Party on Dec. 13 from 5 to 11 p.m.
Adelina Social Goods is prepping up for its inventive twist through a Cocktails for a Crowd class, scheduled for Nov. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. Attendees can refine their present-wrapping and bar-tending skills through its Holiday Gift Wrap Workshop on Dec. 7 from 4 to 6 p.m.
A pet-friendly Holiday hangout at Fetch, wine tastings at Taste Wine Bar and Market, holiday hangouts at Dr. Scofflaw’s, and experiential games at Back Nine are other festive offerings.
Ideal Christmas Gifts at Local Shops
Attendees at All The Joyful Things can browse a range of local shops that have amazing gifts for this festive season. Some names are Ballard Designs, Adelina Social Goods, Love Train Antiques & Home, Eric Austin Custom, and Swan Space.
BAIR by Bria, the athletic-wear brand, is also preparing to organize a pop-up on Dec. 13 and 14. Stellar Bodies’ holiday workouts are sure to promote fitness during this festive celebration. Other highlights include a blowout at Tinte salon, manicures and pedicures at Les Main Nail Bar, and facials at AYA Medical Spa.
A variety of food and drink specials will be available at All The Joyful Things this festive season. BRASH Coffee, Chicheria Mexican Kitchen, Chattahoochee Food Works, The Forum Cocktail Company, and Fox Bros Bar-B-Q will present the offerings.

The mixed-use hub nestled in the Upper Westside in Atlanta is spread across 80 acres.
