A high-end barbershop brand is breaking into the Atlanta market next year. ClubCuts Barbershop has inked a lease at 4511 Olde Perimeter Way, Suite 100, in Perimeter Center in Dunwoody. Co-owner Brian Stiles told What Now Atlanta that the team is targeting a March opening at the location.
The nearly 1,700-square-foot barbershop will mark the brand’s first foray into the Southeast. Currently, the brand has locations in Colorado and Texas, with another heading to California. Stiles, who lives in Nashville, said they were attracted to the potential for growth within the Atlanta market.
“Since Atlanta is a short drive away, we started looking at Atlanta,” Stiles said. “We liked Atlanta because of the size of it. Everything can grow in that market.”
They are hoping that the forthcoming location in Dunwoody will serve as their flagship in the Atlanta area. It is a bit larger than usual ClubCut units, offering space for a lounge area, a small patio with lawn games like cornhole, and haircut and wash stations. The location also features a vaulted ceiling and plenty of natural light.
“We chose this space because we feel that it represents the brand well and we’ll be able to make it how we want,” Stiles said. “It will be a nice comfortable place for people to get their hair cut.”
ClubCuts has modernized the barbershop system, offering an online check-in system that customers can use to make appointments.
“They come in, they sit in the lounge if they’re early and then they go straight to the chair,” Stiles said. “They do the check-in and checkout right in the chair.”
The brand also features a unique subscription model for its customers. While ClubCuts accepts walk-ins and single appointments, about half to two-thirds of their current customers have a monthly subscription. The subscription allows customers to come in for a cut as frequently as they would like, providing flexibility for weekly touch-ups. In addition, each cut comes with a straight-razor neck shave and hair wash designed to upgrade the experience.
The forthcoming space at Perimeter will allow the brand to draw in a mixture of both office and residential clientele. Stiles views it as a good starting point for future Atlanta expansion.
“We’re really hoping this first location is our springboard,” Stiles said. “We would love to get up to 20 or even 30 locations in the Greater Atlanta area.”
Gary Woodward with JLL represented ClubCuts in the agreement.
