A contemporary Asian fusion favorite from Greenwich, Connecticut, is heading to the northern suburbs of Boston.

Hinoki plans to open its second location in the former Not Your Average Joe’s space at 4C Wayside Rd in Burlington‘s Wayside shopping center, according to the Daily Times Chronicle. Earlier this year, the restaurant secured unanimous approval from the Select Board for an all-alcohol license.

Founded in 2021 by restaurateurs Chef Steven Chen and K Dong, the original eatery blends relaxed izakaya-style shareable plates with an intimate omakase chef’s counter in a polished yet casual setting. The Burlington restaurant is expected to serve a menu similar to the original, featuring both lunch and dinner.

Guests can anticipate hot and cold small plates like salmon pizza and crispy calamari, vegetarian selections, dim sum, and entrées such as ginger scallion lobster, grilled filet mignon, and stir-fried udon. The menu also highlights nori tacos and sushi rolls, plus a beverage lineup including craft cocktails, premium sake, and whiskey.

While Dong briefly confirmed the expansion with What Now Boston, he has not yet provided further details about the upcoming restaurant. However, Boston Restaurant Talk reports that Hinoki is slated to open in Burlington sometime in early 2026.
