Ellianos Coffee, the high-end drive-thru coffee chain with locations in the southeastern states, announced this week that it has begun construction on a new location in Lakeland’s Highlands Plaza, at 2890 Lakeland Highlands Road.
The new Ellianos will be helmed by franchisees Shawn R. McDonald and Taylor Caffey.
“As a lifelong resident of Lakeland, this community means so much to us,” McDonald said in a press release. “Lakeland is my hometown, and I’ve seen this community grow from a sleepy small town into a thriving city in the heart of Central Florida.”
And so McDonald and Caffey are bringing Ellianos home. Lakelanders will soon be driving thru for Ellianos’ Signature Creations: coffee drinks like the Caffe Dolce (also served frozen as the Caffe Dolce Freezer), the Iced Tuscany Toffee Latte, the Iced Milan Mint Mocha, and lots more.
“Ellianos Coffee started with a simple idea: serve high-quality coffee, fast — and serve it with heart,” says the Ellianos website. “What began as one family’s dream has grown into a lasting legacy — a company built on faith, family, and excellence, committed to making your day a little brighter, one cup at a time.”
What Now reached out to Shawn R. McDonald on Friday to ask about the timeline for opening. McDonald was not immediately available for comment.
