Known for concepts like Milpa Mexican Cafe and Nocturno Cocktail Bar, Vegas restaurateur DJ Flores appears to be at work on something new in the Gateway District. It’s called Beautiful Stranger, and it’s in the works at 1523 S Main Street, according to liquor license paperwork submitted to the City of Las Vegas.

Milpa, a “vibrant contemporary Mexican café dedicated to highlighting the richness of vegetables and grains in our cuisine,’” and Nocturno, “a celebration of the classic cocktail bar, the beauty of simple, balanced drinks, and those late nights spent with friends and family,” have built a following, so we were immediately curious to know what plans are for Beautiful Stranger.

What Now reached out to DJ Flores on Friday to ask about plans for the new spot. Is it another cocktail bar? Will there be a food menu? Flores was not immediately available to share details, but we’re hoping to hear more soon.

The site in question is situated on the northeast corner of South Main Street and West Wyoming Avenue, near Able Baker Brewing. Other nearby restaurants included Jack in the Box and District Deli & Coffee.

Stay tuned for more on Beautiful Stranger!
