Taino’s Bakery is expanding its footprint with the opening of a Longwood location.
The City of Longwood shared on its Interactive Development Map, that the much-loved bakery is opening in the old Wako Taco space, at 480 S. Ronald Reagan Boulevard, next to Hourglass Brewery and PapaBees Wings.
Taino’s Bakery co-owner, Nicolas Fusté, confirmed the news, adding the restaurant should be open some time in December of 2025. Fusté, who co-owns the bakery with wife, Liza Padilla, said that Longwood was, “growing, for sure”.
Fusté and Padilla opened the first Taino’s in Orlando in 2005 with a goal to serve traditional Puerto Rican baked goods and food. The shop quickly grew a loyal following for its quesitos, mofongo, bistec encebollado, carne frita, masitas de pollo, and more. Taino’s became more than a bakery — it became a gathering place for Orlando’s Puerto Rican community where they could enjoy favorite dishes and share stories.
Taino’s also offers online ordering and catering services. Guests can purchase a platter of sandwiches for pickup or can arrange for the restaurant to provide food for a party or event.
Today, Taino’s has grown to multiple locations in the Greater Orlando area. It is expanding to Longwood, with the possibility of more to come.
