Famous for its toasted subs—or should we say, “‘toasted’ subs”—stoner-coded sandwich chain Cheba Hut boasts four locations in the Las Vegas market, operated by Elevated Huts, Inc. Now, Elevated Huts has submitted licensing paperwork to the City of Las Vegas showing plans to open a new Cheba Hut at 6485 N Durango Dr, Suite 100.
The Cheba Hut menu features Chicken and Turkey subs like the Jamaica Red (Grilled chicken breast, hot sauce, jalapeño, green bell pepper, black olive, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake & House dressing), Meat subs like La Canna (Smoked ham, genoa salami, prosciutto, black olive, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake & House Dressing), and Veggie subs like the Griefo (Cream cheese, guacamole, pepper jack, spring mix, tomato, onion, pickle, cucumber, shrooms, black olive, green bell pepper, Shake & House dressing).
That’s all alongside “Munchies” like Cool Ranch Doritos Not’Chos, French Onion Soup, and Pretzel Nuggets.
“Cheba Hut is a ‘Toasted’ sub concept that has been curing munchies since its start in 1998,” says the Cheba Hut website. “Founder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great tasting food and … well, a very specific counter-culture. The menu features over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispy treats, salads and munchies. Most locations also offer craft beer bars that feature local beers from neighborhood breweries.”
What Now reached on Wednesday to Elevated Huts Director of Operations Madeline Stamm to ask about plans for the new Cheba Hut. Stamm was not immediately available to discuss the news.
