Dirty Duck Coffee Company is duck walking into the San Antonio area market for the first time with the opening of a new shop in the Friendship Center in Fredericksburg. According to a permit that was recently filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the new Dirty Duck Coffee Shop will open at 514 Friendship Lane.
But, it appears that there won’t be much construction done to construct the new Dirty Duck Cafe. The estimated $200,000 project will consist of additions to an existing building and is slated to start in mid-December and wrap up by mid-February. If all goes well, the new Dirty Duck Coffee shop will open before March 2026.
According to its website, the Dirty Duck Coffee Company was founded in rural Missouri. Based in Mound City, the coffee brand already has a presence in Boerne and is now aiming for San Antonio.
Dirty Duck Coffee has an extensive range to offer.
“From robust, earthy blends to light, fruity notes, we have a coffee for every taste bud out there. Our beans are 100% Arabica, handpicked and roasted with passion, delivering the perfect cup every time,” the website reads.
Offering everything from canned cold brew to a variety of flavored cold brews like French vanilla and cinnamon teal snickerdoodle. Most of its products are sold online this will be one of the first brick-and-mortar locations to open.
What Now San Antonio reached out to the tenant listed on the permit, Denise McGuire, who shared excitement for the opening but not much more. McGuire was unable to share more details with us before the publication.
According to the Dirty Duck Coffee Instagram, “in 1887, erected in brick over the Missouri River Flyway, came a place known today famously as The Dirty Duck. Our coffee embraces that timeless hunt.”
