Nearly a year after Sabatini Restaurant & Pizzeria closed its doors, Westborough is poised to welcome a new Italian eatery.

Napoli’s Restaurant & Bar is moving into the 31 South St space, according to a report from the Community Advocate. The 76-seat Italian eatery is helmed by Bedford, New Hampshire’s Ram Adhikari and his two partners, who are putting the final touches on the space.

Over the past few months, renovations have included a new bar and a 2,000-gallon grease trap to support the kitchen’s menu of pasta, pizza, burgers, French fries, and more.

The building is leased for five years with options to extend, and Napoli’s is expected to employ around six staff members. While an official opening date hasn’t been set, Adhikari and his partners are aiming for a January or February 2026 debut.

Founded in 1979 by Abruzzi-born Peter Sabatini, Sabatini was a longtime local favorite known for its no-frills pizza, hearty Italian sandwiches, and classic entrees like veal cutlets and gnocchi.
