Pitfire Pizza, a neighborhood-focused pizzeria known for its chef-driven menu, is getting ready to open in Los Angeles at 3701 West Jefferson Boulevard.
The company’s new location looks to be opening into a vacant commercial space, according to public records. PFP West Jeff LLC, which is registered to Pitfire Pizza CEO Jeffrey Goodman, recently submitted a liquor license application for the site. While an exact opening date has not been announced, the filing indicates that early planning is underway. Customers can expect the brand’s lineup of hand-stretched pizzas and a casual atmosphere.
Pitfire Pizza currently has locations in Carlsbad, Costa Mesa, Echo Park, Mar Vista, North Hollywood, Orange, Pasadena, Westwood, and Woodland Hills. The company has expanded gradually across Southern California, focusing on simple ingredients and seasonal updates. Its restaurants are designed to serve as approachable neighborhood spots for families, students, and regulars.
The Jefferson Boulevard site sits in an area that continues to grow with new housing and small businesses. The restaurant will add another dining option to a corridor that has seen steady activity. Pitfire Pizza has followed a similar path in other communities, looking for walkable, developing neighborhoods.
Menu items at Pitfire Pizza include The New Margherita, Vegan Margherita, Zoe’s Pepperoni, Field Mushroom, Say Cheese, Honey Bear, Epic BBQ Chicken, Sausage Party, The Burrata, and IYKYK. These pizzas feature combinations of housemade mozzarella, ricotta, tomato sauce, and seasonal toppings.
Seasonal offerings rotate throughout the year and have included pizzas like Pineapple Express, with pineapple sauce, pineapple chunks, pepperoni, provolone, and fresh jalapeño, as well as Smashing Pumpkin, topped with goat cheese, pumpkin oil, greens, and pepitas. These limited items reflect the company’s interest in keeping its menu fresh and flexible.
