Coca-Cola plans to bring back a fan-favorite from its diet lineup early next year. Snackolator revealed that Diet Cherry Coke is returning permanently to Coca-Cola’s lineup.
Diet Cherry Coke Gears Up for a Comeback
According to Snackolator, Coca-Cola will bring back Diet Cherry Coke in early 2026. Snackolator noted on Instagram that the classic favorite is coming back for good.
According to the post, a Coca-Cola representative confirmed that Diet Cherry Coke is a ‘sustain’ item, meaning it’s intended to remain in the lineup rather than serve as a limited-time flavor.
The post further notes that Diet Cherry Coke will be available at all retailers, contrary to the recent retro release at Kroger stores only.
Coca-Cola fans shared their excitement through hundreds of comments and reactions under the latest post. There were some who compared Diet Cherry Coke with the brand’s ‘Cherry Zero’ offering. Others responded that the returning Diet Cherry Coke contains fewer artificial sweeteners.

Updates Await for 2 Liter Bottles
Snackolator also shared new details about the drink’s early-2026 rollout. The drink will be available in 20-ounce bottles and 12-pack cans.
However, according to Snackolator, users may not get the new offering in 2-liter bottles for now. The fast-food, snacks, and drinks review platform stated that it would update fans once there is news about its availability.
With a full rollout planned for 2026, Coca-Cola expects Diet Cherry Coke to return nationwide. Its refreshed formula and lighter use of artificial sweeteners could help the drink stand out on store shelves.
