Fine-casual Vietnamese restaurant Việt Citron is expanding to the forthcoming Eastern Edge Food Hall at 290 Main St in Cambridge‘s Kendall Square.

The Burlington-born eatery, which opened a second location at Somerville’s Bow Market this spring, is now preparing to bring its popular Vietnamese street-food staples to the new development.

Founded by architect-turned-chef Tran Lee and her husband, Howard Lee, Việt Citron is known for its authentic, sustainability-minded dishes, including bánh mì sandwiches, bánh hỏi bowls, and phở noodle soups.

“We’ve been eyeing Kendall Square since 2023,” Tran told What Now Boston. “Through the recommendations from Chef Tracy Chang of PAGU, Eastern Edge visited Việt Citron at Bow Market and fell in love with our fine-casual concept and the bold flavors, so they invited us to join the food hall… We see a great opportunity to showcase the real flavors of elevated Viet street foods and be part of the Cambridge community. It’s exciting that Eastern Edge Food Hall provides a nice cozy gathering space with really tasty foods and drinks from local chefs, and is open to everyone, as well as the MIT community.”

According to a press release, Eastern Edge is being developed and curated by Gather Group, a team known for creating memorable hospitality experiences. Their vision centers on assembling “best-in-class vendors that reflect the cultural and culinary diversity of Cambridge and the Greater Boston area.”

The food hall is on track to open in early 2026 and will welcome visitors into a dynamic setting with local food stalls, full-service bars, and communal spaces meant for lingering and connecting.
