Fashion executive Jeffrey Kalinsky’s luxury fashion boutique Jeffrey is planning to return to Atlanta. It will open at Buckhead Village at 3070 Bolling Way on Aug. 2, according to a release.

The store will feature a 3,000-square-foot retail space and a 1,000-square-foot styling lounge. It will offer a curated collection of luxury designers including Gucci, Balenciaga, Loewe, Bottega Veneta and Dries Van Noten. It will feature a dedicated valet service at Buckhead Village, as well.

Jeffrey’s first Atlanta store opened in 1990 in Buckhead. Kalinsky expanded the brand’s footprint to a 12,000-square-foot store in New York City’s Meatpacking District in 1999 and opened a third location in Palo Alto, Calif., in 2018. All three stores shuttered in 2020.

Kalinsky welcomed the opportunity to return to Atlanta when it presented itself.

“It was a pull that just kept getting stronger and stronger until I couldn’t take not being back in business anymore,” Kalinsky told What Now Atlanta. “I felt like this is something I had to do. I guess I just missed it that much.”

When Kalinsky first opened in Buckhead in the 1990s, the boutique became a popular destination for those interested in shopping both established and up-and-coming brands. Kalinsky hopes to capture some of that original atmosphere in his new store.

“I hope that what I’m going to deliver is going to feel familiar in a good way and new at the same time,” Kalinsky said. “The mission for the brand is to offer the best fashion from around the world in a one-stop shopping experience offering the best, most personalized shopping experience for our customers. That will never change. That has been the mission from day one. It’s about service, relationships and curation.”

Since the closure of his stores in 2020, Kalinsky has seen a trend in fashion toward incorporating luxury into everyday, casual fashion.

“Fashion keeps changing. It’s always changing,” Kalinsky said. “I’m really excited about the brands we’re going to carry, and I really think I’m going to be able to deliver on that.”

For now, Kalinsky is focused on bringing the best experience possible to customers at the new boutique when it opens its doors next August. Kalinksy is excited to return to where the brand began and usher in a new era of Jeffrey.

“Opening this store at Buckhead Village feels like coming home,” Kalinsky said in the release. “Atlanta’s fashion and retail landscape has evolved tremendously — and in such a positive way — since we opened our first store in the ’90s. It’s been exciting to see the city attract such an incredible range of luxury designers and innovative brands. With Jeffrey, our goal is to offer shoppers a one-stop shopping experience — an inspired edit from top designers around the world paired with the same level of service and attention to detail our customers will remember.”
