Dave and Buster’s is coming to the Post Oak Mall. According to a recently filed state permit, the new games and dining spot will open at 1502 Harvey Road in College Station.
Construction on the 31,384 square-foot Dave and Buster’s is slated to start in February next year and wrap up in October 2026. If all goes well, the new Dave and Busters at Post Oak Mall should open in Winter 2026.
While Dave and Buster’s has locations throughout the world, the company does not franchise in North America, so this new location will be run by corporate. What Now San Antonio reached out to Dave and Buster’s Chief Development Officer and Executive Vice President, Les. L Lehner, to confirm details about the new opening, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
The new Dave and Buster’s location to come to the Greater San Antonio area will be in good company; there are at least 16 Dave and Buster’s locations operating in Texas.
Co-founders David Corriveau and James “Buter” Corely founded the brand in 1982 in Dallas, Texas. Born out of their two adjacent businesses in Little Rock, Arkansas, the widely known and beloved brand became the restaurant and arcade we all know today. There are now more than 178 Dave and Buster’s locations in the US and Canada. California currently has the most locations, with 22 stores up and running.
But, perhaps with this new Brazos County opening, Texas is giving California a run for its money. After all, Dave and Buster’s does breed competition, whether that’s amongst states or family, or friends playing one of the dozens of games at the Dave and Buster’s location.
But the focus is never just on playing and friendly rivalry. Dave and Buster’s is one of the few brands that offer its guests the opportunity to both eat and play at its fun and dining spots. Many of the locals cook up and dish the same, if not similar, items. While the menu is simple, there area multitude of options like wings, burgers, fries, and more. Dave and Buster’s also has an extensive beer and cocktails menu to help keep the good times rolling.
