Hopdoddy Burger Bar is taking its birthplace up a notch with the opening of a location in Leander. According to this state permit, the sit-down burger eatery is expected to open at 19389 Ronald W Reagan Blvd, Suite 100, in the Summer of 2026.
The permit also details the construction plans for the new Hopdoddy Burger Bar, which is slated to start at the beginning of next year and wrap up by June 2026. If construction and permit plans go according to plan, Hopdoddy Burger Bar will hop to its opening by July 2026.
The gourmet burger Austin chain isn’t your run-of-the-mill burger joint. The eatery provides a side-down experience with a full bar. If the new location in Leander is anything like its siblings throughout Austin, currently up and running, the establishment will surely have the same vibes.
Hopdoddy Burger Bar was founded by Austin industry vets Guy Villavaso, Larry Foles, Chuck Smith, and Larry Perdido in 2010, opening the Hopdoddy Burger Bar in San Antonio at The Rim Shopping Center in 2016. The group, led by the CEO of HiBar Hospitality Group, Jeff Chandler, opened its second San Antonio location in 2019 and plans to open another in February of next year.
There are currently five Hopdoddy Burger Bar locations in Austin, 31 in the entire state, and at least 50 throughout the country, with locations in Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado, and Tennessee. But the HiBar Hospitality Group is not stopping there; there are plans for a major expansion by 2030.
The restaurant, while a burger spot, serves a selection of other items, including chicken strips and sandwiches. Hopdoddy Burger Bar pairs its burgers with shaved Brussels sprouts fries; you can top those with Parmesan truffle seasoning, green chili, and hot honey with sage to get their signature taste.
