Mr. Yakitori is coming to the Charleston Commons Shopping Center. According to a permit filed with the City of Las Vegas, the new Japanese eatery is set to open at 6475 W. Charleston Blvd, Suite 110.
What Now Las Vegas reached out to Mr. Yakitori owner, Ryuki Hiraishi, who shared that the new restaurant is coming, but the details, including the menu rollout and website, are still in the works.
“We’re not quite there yet,” the owner’s wife shared.
Nutmeg Indian Cafe currently lives at Suite 110 in the Charleston Commons Shopping Center and has yet to issue a notice of closure or a location change. But the Hiraishi family did confirm that they plan to open Mr. Yakitori sometime this Winter, likely at the beginning of the year in January or February.Â
While the details about the menu are still being etched out, the Hiraishis explained that it will be a Yakitori concept with a focus on Japanese skewers. Yakitori is a Japanese dish consisting of bite-sized pieces of meat and/or vegetables skewered and grilled. The name, literally translated to “grilled bird,” is often seasoned with tare or a savory-sweet sauce or simply shio or salt.
What else will come with this Japanese dish is unknown at this time, but the main course already sounds very tasty and will bring variety to the Charleston Commons Shopping Center, which currently houses In-N-Out and a few department stores.
Check out this new eatery for yourself when Mr. Yakitori opens at 6475 W. Charleston Blvd, Suite 110, in the Charleston Commons Shopping Center sometime early next year.
