With locations in Clearwater, Clearwater Beach, St. Pete, and Safety Harbor, Kaia Bowls is a healthy fast-casual brand with a mission “to deliver healthy, great tasting alternatives to our customers, whether it is for a quick snack, a delicious bowl, or a complete meal alternative.”
And it’s growing, with at least three locations currently in development, in Lisle, IL, in Gainesville, and—closer to home—in Ybor City. This week, What Now came across plan review paperwork that places the upcoming Ybor City location at 1208 E Seventh Ave., Suite A.
What Now confirmed news of the opening with Alina, owner of the Ybor City location, on Monday. Alina said it’s expected to open before the end of the year.
That means more of everything good that goes in a bowl. There are Signature Poke Bowls like the Ono (OUR MOST POPULAR POKE!! Tuna [raw], cucumber, grape tomatoes, pickled red onions, watermelon radish, crispy onions, seaweed salad, black sesame seeds, ponzu sauce), Acai Bowls like the Kaia Bowl (OUR MOST POPULAR ACAI BOWL!! Organic, non-GMO and gluten-free acai and gluten-free granola. Topped with bananas, strawberries, coconut flakes, and Nutella), and Green Bowls like the Green Earth (Our GREEN EARTH bowl starts with a delicious kale puree made from the following blended ingredients: fresh kale, banana, pineapple and mango. Next we layer on top our special organic and gluten-free granola…and then top it off with fresh bananas, blueberries, pineapple, hemp seeds, and honey).
The East Seventh Avenue location is situated at the northeast corner of the Nuccio Parkway intersection, near Tampa General Hospital. It will join a food and drink community that includes Sky Puppy Brewing, The Bricks, and Cafe Quiquiriqui.
