The Chipotle menu is getting an update with a new addition this month. The brand will debut a High Protein Menu for the first time across the US and Canada on Tuesday, December 23. The menu responds to rising consumer demand for protein-focused options.

Chipotle Introduces New High-Protein Menu Launching December 23

The menu offers a High Protein Cup that has hand-cut Adobo Chicken loaded with 32 grams of protein. It’s designed for guests seeking quick, healthy snacks.

Chipotle says the Adobo Chicken is never given antibiotics, reflecting the chain’s commitment to clean ingredients. The protein menu will be available in restaurants and on the apps nationwide and in Canada.

The prices start at $3.50 for a Single Chicken Taco at select locations in the US. The national average price of a cup of Adobo Chicken is $3.82.

Menu Highlights

According to Chipotle’s recent announcement, the high-protein diet has been ranked as the top diet trend in the US for three years. Chipotle notes that 70% of Americans prioritize protein, and a third have boosted their intake in recent years.

Chipotle provides guests with a range of options to cater to their protein requirements, ranging from light snacks to proper meals. Some of the items in the menu are:

  • Double High Protein Bowl: This comes with 81g protein, 11g fiber, and 760 calories. The bowl has double Adobo Chicken paired with black beans, fajita veggies, light white rice, tomato salsa, extra romaine lettuce, and Monterey Jack cheese.
  • High Protein-High Fiber Bowl: The bowl contains 46g protein, 14g fiber, and 540 calories. The GLP-1 dish pairs Adobo Chicken with black beans, roasted chili-corn salsa, romaine lettuce, light brown rice, and tomato salsa.
  • High Protein-Low Calorie Salad: This offers 36g protein, 10g fiber, and 470 calories. The salad features Supergreens lettuce mix, tomato salsa, guac, and fajita veggies with Adobo Chicken.
  • Double High Protein Burrito: The dish contains 79g protein, 6g fiber, and 840 calories, which features salsa, Monterey Jack cheese, romaine lettuce, and fajita veggies with double Adobo Chicken.
  • High Protein Cup with Adobo Chicken: The serving comes with 32g protein and 180 calories. This dish offers a 4-ounce side of Adobo Chicken packed with flavor and real protein.
  • Adobo Chicken Taco: It has 15g of protein and 190 calories. It includes Adobo Chicken, salsa, romaine lettuce, fajita veggies, and soft flour tortilla.

Collaborations with Influencers

Athletes and creators have long used Chipotle’s customizable menu to meet protein and nutrition goals. The company is collaborating with the creators, highlighting their favorite meals on the new menu, which will be available from January 5. The lineup includes:

  • Josh Hart’s High Protein Burrito, which is a 95-gram protein meal built with double Adobo Chicken and classic toppings.
  • Nutrition influencer Samantha Milton features High Protein Tacos, a 40-gram protein option tailored for a lighter meal.
  • Kylie’s High Protein Chicken Bowl offers 52 grams of protein with mixed grains, beans, and veggies.

“For years, guests have used Chipotle’s customizable offerings to build high protein and fiber-filled meals on their own,” said Chris Brandt, President, Chief Brand Officer.

“This curated menu brings that fan behavior to the forefront with clean ingredients and flexible portions, making protein and other dietary goals easier to reach,” Brandt added.

Chipotle’s first-ever High Protein Menu taps into the growing demand for customizable meals.
