The Hive Market is a bustling farm-fresh cafe in idyllic Grand Coteau, and it is preparing to expand its capabilities with a move. While the cafe is only moving across the street to 219 E. Martin Luther King Dr., it will technically be going from Grand Coteau to Sunset, both of which are in St. Landry Parish. According to a Facebook post, the move will allow Hive Market to offer more to the local community and visitors from outside the parish. Ahead of the move, the cafe closed its doors on December 20 and will reopen in the new year. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.

According to its official website, the cafe sources farm-fresh ingredients and products from Louisiana makers for its small retail market. Serving breakfast, lunch, sweets, and snowballs, the café prioritizes local ingredients and scratch-made food.
