Crispy Cones is bringing their European sweet treats to the Greater Houston area. According to a recently filed permit, the new Crispy Cones is set to open in the Homestead Plaza at 2200 N. Frazier St., Ste. 135. Construction is slated to be completed by mid-March 2026, so interested parties can expect a Spring 2026 opening.
Though the sweets shop is coming to the Greater Houston region for the first time, Crispy Cones may sound familiar. Founder Jeremy Carlson appeared on Shark Tank in 2023 and landed a deal with Barbara Corcoran to expand the rapidly growing national franchise. Now, franchisee Brian Patrick is set to open the fourth Crispy Cones location to come to Texas.
What Now Houston reached out to Carlson and Patrick for details on the Crispy Cones Conroe opening. Patrick confirmed that he will be at the helm of the new Crispy Cones to hit Conroe. We did not hear back from Carlson by the time of this publication.
Though Crispy Cones reached national recognition with the appearance on Shark Tank in 2023, the brand actually started in 2018 when Carlson was struck with inspiration by European chimney cakes from his LDS mission in the Czech Republic and began selling the grilled, cinnamon-sugar dough cones filled with soft-serve ice cream from a roadside tent in Rexburg, Idaho. There are now nearly 30 Crispy Cones locations across several states, including Utah, Arizona, Florida, and Texas, with plans to open more than 100 locations in the near future.
Atop the sweet cones and ice cream, Crispy Cones customers can choose from a variety of toppings to add to the sweet treat. The cones come in different flavors as well and are often offered in a specialty flavor for the season. The current specialty cone is gingerbread.
The Greater Houston community and those who visit can rejoice in knowing they can give this nationally televised, recognized brand a try when the new Crispy Cones opens in the Homestead Plaza in Conroe at 2200 N. Frazier St., Ste. 135 in Spring 2026.
