Many restaurants today get their start as food trucks or catering companies before expanding into brick-and-mortar spots. That’s the case with the upcoming Queen Eats Bistro & Bar in Baton Rouge. The restaurant started as the Queen Eats & Royal Treats food truck, which scored big concessions contracts with the likes of LSU and Southern University. According to posts on social media, the ownership has signed a lease to establish the brick-and-mortar bistro. A location has not been announced, and What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.

The food truck and concessions company has built a large following with what it calls Baton Rouge Soul Food. Menu highlights include red beans and wings, Cajun shrimp pasta, and pulled pork sandwiches.
