A unique music venue and culinary school is coming to Kerns early next year.

It was reported by Bridgetown Bites that Singacoustic is opening at the old Church Bar address, 2600 NE Sandy Road. The kitchen will be operated by culinary and cooking school graduates. According to owner Hani Gadallah, the business will debut on Jan. 10.

“More than a venue, Sinagacoustic is a learning lab, a stage and a gathering place where artistry, hospitality and education come together,” says the description on their website.

The restaurant is themed to food, with dishes including dipcuterie as an opening act, eggplant lasagna as a headliner and moon pie as the encore. From a recent post about the menu, the Boss Burger with beef, white braised onions and smoked Gouda will be one of the headliners. The options range from appetizers to desserts, which are available on their website.

Gadallah is also the event production designer and audio engineer. He has been working on the project for a few years, first starting a production company called Hot Mittens in San Francisco.

Singacoustic will be at the corner of NE Lawrence Avenue and Sandy Boulevard, across the street from Duality Brewing & Chisme. The business is already listed online, and work is finishing up inside, which will seat about 60.

From the most recent Instagram post, staff are being trained for the opening. For more information on Singacoustic, visit their Instagram @singa_coustic.
