Lowe’s Expansion: A Commitment to Community and Employment

Communities across Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, and Texas marked major Lowe’s grand openings in 2025. Each opening featured local performers, partnerships with community organizations, and Lowe’s signature board-cutting ceremony.

Thousands of residents turned out for grand opening celebrations at the new stores. New stores reflected a large-scale expansion, covering more than 800,000 square feet of retail space, including over 1,900 tons of steel and nearly 19,000 cubic yards of concrete requirements.

New or Refurbished Locations

This year’s expansion brought in new or refreshed Lowe’s stores across several states. New or refreshed stores opened in North Fort Worth, Magnolia, Midlothian, Royse City, and Georgetown, Texas. Other locations are Braselton in Georgia, Maricopa in Arizona, and East Asheville, North Carolina.

Each store spans thousands of square feet and features an outdoor garden center. The updated layout helps homeowners and pros with expansive assortments. Each new location employs more than 100 associates, many of whom were hired locally. The new team tackles projects of all sizes.

Local Store Leaders Drive Community Engagement

Store managers across Lowe’s new locations found ways to engage their communities during and after opening day. Store Manager of East Asheville location, Joe Strong, arranged for a SpringFest Artist Market to help local artists and vendors build their business after Hurricane Helene.

Customers were invited to create letters, signs of gratitude, and posters for first responders, Lowe’s said. Store Manager of Georgetown, Nathan Fischer, decorated the store in a family-friendly haunted house. The event featured trick-or-treat stations and free candy.

In the Maricopa location, Store Manager Adrienne Gile hosted themed events like pet adoption day, military day, and sports day.

Donations to Local Organizations

Store leaders at Lowe’s supported the opening celebrations with donations to local organizations. Each store donated $1,000 to at least three local nonprofits or community groups every store. In total, the donations amounted to more than $24,000 in local support throughout the year.

In 2025, Lowe’s growth centered on job creation, community investment, and strengthening local relationships nationwide.
