Music retailer Bull Moose has announced that it will close its North Windham store at the end of January 2026. The neighborhood’s favorite music and entertainment store is closing after more than three decades in business.

Bull Moose Announces Closure of Long-Running North Windham Store

Bull Moose has been known for offering CDs, books, quirky finds, video games, and vinyl records for decades. In a social media post, however, the company announced it will shutter its North Windham store this month. In a social media post, the company said it will shutter the North Windham location, citing space limitations.

“We’ve made the extremely difficult decision to close our North Windham location at the end of January 2026. We have worked hard to keep this store going, but the realities of the space make it increasingly difficult to serve our customers and staff the way we believe they deserve,” the post read.

The company mentioned that its priority is to relocate staff and help them plan their next steps by providing a severance package.

“Our top priority right now is our Windham staff. Every team member has been offered the option to transfer to another Bull Moose location or receive a severance package to help them plan what’s next. We will work together to ensure the best possible outcome for our folks and our customers through this transition,” the post continued.

Store to Hold Flash Sales and Events

Bull Moose plans to keep open through January, with flash sales and other events to clear its remaining inventory. The company urges its followers to watch for updates on the same.

“We expect to be open through January, with flash sales and other events as we work through remaining inventory. Stay tuned for more updates as we have them,” the post said. The store expressed its gratitude to the Windham and Sebago Lakes community and hopes to see its regular customers in other locations.

“To the Windham and Sebago Lakes community: thank you. We’ve been honored to be part of your lives since we first opened in Windham in 1991 and hope to see you at one of our other ten locations, especially your neighboring stores in Lewiston or Scarborough,” the post read.

Bull Moose urged its followers to share their memories from the Windham location, which followed a flood of messages from its loyal customers who had visited the store over the course of three decades.

The coming weeks will offer longtime customers a chance to visit, shop, and share memories before the store officially closes at the end of January.
