Karma Juice Bar & Eatery, “Where Good Food, Kind Vibes, and Community Come Together,” has built a following in the Greater Tampa area, where it currently has two locations, in Clearwater and in St. Petersburg. Almost 3 years ago (time flies!), in January 2023, What Now reported on plans for the brand to open its St. Pete location.

“We’ve been around for nine years now,” founder Josie Barber told What Now at the time, describing restaurant’s journey: a expansion to several new locations came up against the difficult COVID-19 period’s labor shortage, leading to the closures of two stores. It was a sad development for a brand that had maintained—and has since maintained—its loyal following.

“We hear the same thing out of everyone: ‘I just can’t find anything like this,’” Steve, Karma’s general manager, told What Now in January 2023. “We make everything in-house. Everything: our salad dressings, our peanut butter, our almond butter, all the juices, teas and coffee.”

Now, the rumor is that Karma Juice Bar, which offers cold-pressed juices, açai bowls, salads, sandwiches, and more, has a new location in the works, once again in St. Pete. What Now spoke with founder Josie Barber on Friday. At this time, Barber could confirm only that Karma Juice Bar & Eatery is indeed in the process of procuring a space. Further details about site cannot be shared just yet.

Keep your eyes peeled for more details soon!
