The Alafaya opening adds to Raising Cane’s growing presence across the Orlando area. Giveaways will begin early at 8 a.m. along with community celebrations, before the restaurant opens on January 13.

Community members and travelers from across the Orlando area can dine on Raising Cane’s hand-battered, cooked-to-order Chicken Fingers. Crispy coleslaw, buttery Cane’s Toast, crinkle-cut fries, and the award-winning Cane’s Sauce will also be served by a friendly Crew.

“Opening in Alafaya means a lot to us,” said Area Leader of Restaurants Sahul Flores. “This Community feels like one big family, which brings incredible energy to the area. We’re excited to be part of that and to serve hand-battered, cooked-to-order Chicken Fingers to students, parents, and locals who make this neighborhood such a special place.”

The preparation of the popular ONE LOVE – Craveable Chicken Finger Meals begins with the marination of premium breast tenderloins for at least a day. The tenderloins are then cooked fresh for every order, which ensures Cane’s authentic flavor stays intact. No heat lamps or warmers are used for this process.

Crew members prepare each menu item fresh daily, from mixing Cane’s Sauce and grilling toast to seasoning fries and brewing tea. The process helps maintain consistent quality across the menu, from the Kids Combo to the Caniac Combo.

Thoughtful Interior Showcasing Raising Cane’s History

Raising Cane’s latest Orlando outpost features a lively display of the chain’s history and local elements that celebrate the Alafaya community. The restaurant’s walls are lined with photos of the brand’s yellow Labrador mascot, Cane III. These pictures sit alongside visuals that depict Cane’s origins and highlight founder Todd Graves’ journey.

From Todd’s beginnings as a boilermaker and sockeye salmon fisherman to becoming Raising Cane’s owner and founder, the visuals present his complete story.

The restaurant is also a celebration of Alafaya and Orlando pride through sports memorabilia and nods to known names from the area, such as Backstreet Boys member Howie D. and Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes.

Opening-Day Giveaways and Events

While the doors will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, Raising Cane’s Alafaya store encourages customers to arrive early for giveaways and activities.

A “Lucky 20” drawing will award Free Cane’s for a Year to 20 customers from the Alafaya community (aged 13 or older). The entry period runs from 8 to 9 a.m., with the drawing held shortly after. Customers must be present to win.

For the first 100 Combo purchases made in the restaurant, Alafaya customers at Cane’s will receive a branded trucker hat and a free Box Combo Card, while supplies last (valid on a future visit).

The first customer in line will receive a gift basket and a welcome from the Crew.

The Alafaya outpost’s ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature the local leaders of East Orlando Chamber of Commerce. Titleholders, including Miss Florida, Paris Richardson, and Miss Florida Teen, Noelle Schnacky will also be present for the event scheduled to start around 9 a.m. A check presentation to the East Orange Community Center will also begin at the same time.

The restaurant’s late-night hours include:

  • Sunday through Thursday – 10 to 1 a.m.
  • Friday and Saturday – 10 to 2 a.m.

Established in 1996 by Todd Graves, the fast casual chain is soaring with plans to go beyond 1,000 locations in 2026. To ensure the same, Raising Cane’s is currently working toward opening 100 new restaurants this year. The chicken-finger brand is also debuting its first U.K. restaurant in 2026.

Raising Cane’s further envisions finding a place in the top 10 Restaurant Brands in the United States.
