Farmer Boys, the restaurant that offers good food for good value, is opening up a restaurant in Mesa.
Franchisee Omar Mawas shared the news with What Now Phoenix, adding that construction has started on the restaurant, located at 3445 S. Ellsworth Road, with a planned opening in May 2026.
The name Farmer Boys rings true to the story of the brand. The first location was opened in 1981 by five brothers — George, Chris, Demetrius, Harry, and Mike Havadjias — who used their family farm’s fresh ingredients to make crave-worthy burgers. The restaurant hit the mark with customers who appreciated farm-to-table dining and friendly service at value-driven prices.
40 years later, the restaurant has more than 100 locations in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Though the restaurant chain has grown, the food it serves is still very much in line with that original restaurant. Breakfasts are cooked to order, salads are hand chopped, sandwiches are stacked high, and burgers are made with beef that’s fresh-never-frozen, with no antibiotics or added hormones. All food is made with fresh produce delivered daily to each location to ensure that every meal is made with quality ingredients.
The hard work is paying off, with Farmer Boys winning many accolades including having USA Today name its fries the “best fast food fries” in 2023 and Business Insider giving it recognition of having the “best breakfast sandwich” award in 2022.
