Piada Italian Street Food is set to make its debut in the Greater San Antonio region early this year. According to a recently filed state permit, the Italian cuisine restaurant chain will open in the Huebner Oaks Center at 11745 I-10 West, Suite 501Culture Map reports that Piada Italian Street Food is planning to open a second location in Schertz Station at 18430 I-35 N.

Construction on the Huebner Oaks Center Piada Italian Street food is slated to start at the end of this month and wrap up at the beginning of March 2026. Both eateries are expected to be open by this Spring.

Piada Italian Street Food blends ancient Italian tradition with modern fast-casual dining. The eatery is inspired by the centuries-old piadina flatbread of Rimini, Italy, and brought to the US by founder Chris Doody after seeing street food carts there around 2008-2009. Doody opened the first Columbus, Ohio Piada restaurant in 2010 with a focus on fresh, customizable Italian wraps and bowls.

“We believe in eating well even when we need to eat fast,” the Piada Italian Street Food website reads.

“Great food starts with a few simple, fresh ingredients and someone who knows how to bring the best flavors to life. Every Piada is run by a chef — not a manager — who will personally greet you as you step up to the stone.”

Piada’s Martin Holland was listed on the permit. What Now San Antonio reached out to Holland and The Piada Group Co-Chief Executive Officer, Lance Juhas, for further details about the two upcoming openings, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

There are currently nearly 70 Piada Italian Street Food locations across seven states. The brand’s eateries are primarily in Ohio and Texas, with 19 locations already open in the Lone Star State.

“Our open kitchen design invites you to share in the experience as our chef crafts your meal, to order — Piadas, Pasta Bowls, and Chopped Salads all to be enjoyed in our dining room or on the run. It’s good food, made fast, made fresh. Every time,” the website reads.

While no grand opening date has been announced for either location, you can expect Piada Italian Street Food to open the Huebner Oaks Center at 11745 I-10 West, Suite 501, by March 2026 and in the Schertz Station at 18430 I-35 N before the end of the first quarter.
