Get ready Allen Mexican food enthusiasts; the best Mexican restaurant in Plano is bringing its authentic cuisine to your backyard. Mexican Bar Company has filed permits to open a new Collin County location, and it’s set to open later this year.

The restaurant will be greeting guests in a spacious storefront located at 790 Waverly Drive. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that Mexican Bar Company’s new home will span 12,460 square feet. The work required-set to commence on January 12-is described as “Exterior modifications to include new signage, lighting and patio roof. Complete interior finish out”.

Allen foodies will be able to enjoy Mexican Bar Company’s cuisine before the year is out; the website states that the new location will be opening this summer.

Mexican Bar Company has been a heavy hitter in the DFW dining scene since its debut in 2018. Owned and operated by Brian Dunne, the restaurant became a success thank in part to its commitment to offering “the full scope of Mexican cuisine; handmade corn tortilla tacos, freshly prepared ceviches, guacamoles, salsas, and an exceptional selection of regional dishes. Mexican Bar Company stays true to the classic delicacies of Mexico and its legendary food markets.”

The expansive menu has something for everyone, including vegan options alongside seafood, chicken, and meat dishes.
