Southern comfort food is continuing its DFW hot streak with the introduction of yet another location of a chain specializing in the cuisine. Waffle House has filed permits for its next Tarrant County storefront, this one in Fort Worth.
The cult-favorite restaurant will be moving into a newly erected building on Brewer Boulevard. Fort Worth locals won’t be able to start charting the project’s progress this year; according to the paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction is set to begin on the brand-new 1,840 square foot storefront on February 1 of next year and should wrap by August 1 of 2027.
Waffle House’s new Fort Worth location marks another step on the chain’s strong push into the DFW. The brand has several new Dallas area locations in development at the moment.
Waffle House was founded in 1955 in Georgia. The restaurant has earned massive acclaim for its Southern cuisine and 24-hour serving cycle. Waffle House has ballooned to more than 2,000 locations nationally, many of which are concentrated in the South.
