New Distribution Centers and Investment Plans
To increase operational efficiency, Aldi intends to open three new distribution centers. These include Baldwin, Florida, which is projected for 2027, Goodyear, Arizona, which is projected for 2028, and Aurora, Colorado, which is projected for 2029. The new distribution centers will also create hundreds of job opportunities and have a positive impact on the local economy.
Aldi also plans to invest $9 billion over five years to support store growth. The investment will span the 5-year expansion plan and will also focus on the supply chain and upgrades.
McGrath told PR Newswire that Aldi’s expansion and strategic investments are centered on the customer. “As we look ahead to our next 50 years in the U.S., we’ll continue to earn shopper loyalty by staying true to what’s made Aldi successful: keeping things simple and delivering real value,” said McGrath.
Digital Shopping Experience to Be Upgraded in 2026
To make online shopping seamless, the retailer is also redesigning and making upgrades to its websites. The new and revamped official website will be launched in early 2026.
The updated site will have personalized recommended product listings, meal-planning tools, shoppable recipes, and more. The retailer will focus on streamlining the home delivery process.
The initiatives signal Aldi’s long-term strategy to scale its U.S. operations while modernizing how customers shop.
