After serving the Houston community for seven years, Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille is closing its River Oaks location. The restaurant cited a contractual dispute with its landlord as the reason behind the closure. The location will serve its final meal on Saturday, January 24.

Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille is one of the most popular and community-favorite steakhouse chains in the Houston region. The steakhouse features prime steaks, seafood, and chops with a fine-dining experience. Located at 1997 W. Gray Street, the restaurant features a refined, warmly lit dining room popular for special occasions.
Some of the most loved items on the menu include Perry’s Famous Pork Chop, Lamb Chops, Lobster Tail, and Filet Mignon.
The restaurant team shared an official closure announcement on their website and social media. “After seven great years, Perry’s has made the difficult decision to close our River Oaks location,” said the team behind the steakhouse.
The team encouraged guests to visit before the final service date. “Our team hopes to have the opportunity to serve you again at our River Oaks steakhouse before our doors close on Saturday, January 24, 2026,” the post read.
The steakhouse team also shared a heartfelt thank you to its guests and community members. “We are incredibly grateful for the years of memories that our guests and team members have made,” said the team.
Lease Dispute with Landlord Leads to Steakhouse Closure
The restaurant cited a contractual dispute with the landlord as the primary factor behind the closure.
Furthermore, the restaurant has assured that every River Oaks staff member will be offered a similar job position at one of its seven other restaurant locations in the greater Houston area.
Even though Perry’s River Oaks location is closing, it will continue to serve the Houston community in Baybrook, Champions, Katy, Memorial City, Sugar Land, and The Woodlands locations.
