Charlotte-based developer Northwood Ravin has inked a lease for Condesa Coffee to take a ground-floor retail space in 370-unit luxury apartment community Halo in East Decatur. Condesa Coffee will take a 1,225-square-foot space, joining other tenants including fitness concept FS8 and Galore Market, which signed a lease last year.
This location will mark the second for Condesa Coffee, joining its flagship in Old Fourth Ward. Owner Anthony Montague told What Now Atlanta that he liked the tenant mix coming together at Halo and wanted to be part of it.
“We thought it was a good opportunity to be part of something special, and it aligned with what our mission is as a coffee shop in general and, more specifically, Condesa: creating a safe place for people to be able to share their creativity and bringing community together, and doing all that through a cup of coffee,” Montague said.
Condesa offers espresso drinks, pour-overs and drip coffees, as well as light food items such as pastries and sandwiches. Montague said they are thinking about extending their hours at this second location and would like to add more evening food items.
The design of the space will be specific to the Decatur location, aiming to fit the new community. Montague said he expects to open the Halo location in Q2.
“We’re community-driven and are all about creating a third space for people in the neighborhood and community,” Montague said. “We are looking to continue to expand and create these communities where people can come together through a cup of coffee.”
Halo will begin to complete units this spring, with plans to reach full completion in 2027.
