Travelers through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will soon be rewarded with new restaurants to experience.
The airport is undergoing enhancements, including a $356 million expansion of Terminal 3 that will add 173,000 square feet for gates, lounges, outdoor areas, and more shopping. The north concourse of Terminal 3 will get new shops and restaurants with mountain views, making travel through Phoenix considerable more pleasant.
At a recent meeting, the Phoenix Aviation Advisory Board approved HMS Host to operate three new establishments at the airport, located at 3400 Sky Harbor Boulevard. According to a spokesperson for the airport, a completion date has not been announced for these additions to its restaurant roundup. Restaurants coming to the airport include:
The Macintosh – Chef Christopher Collins and his Common Ground Culinary will open a location of the Macintosh, specializing in classic American fare that includes shrimp and grits, blackened redfish, and baby back ribs.
The Mexicano by Chef Joey – Chef Joey Maggiore is opening the Mexicano to Sky Harbor, offering burritos, tacos, guacamole, and the “Best F#*%ING Nachos”. This spirited restaurant is sure to make any passenger forget their delayed flight.
The Collins Small Batch Kitchen – Common Ground Culinary’s nod to fresh, seasonal dishes offers a rotating selection of salads, sandwiches, and entrees. Vegetarians will especially enjoy its selection of plant-based offerings.
