DFW diners may not be able to surf Hawaii’s waves or enjoy its warm sunshine, but thanks to a growing local chain, they’ll be able to savor the island’s flavors. Coco Shrimp is readying a new location in Wylie, set to open later this year, reports Culture Map Dallas.

The seafood restaurant is currently under construction at 3040 East FM 544, Suite 400. The chain announced the new location via social media post, saying: “This one will be quick, so we’ll keep the updates coming, but we still don’t have a solid opening date yet. We have so much work to do to give it all the character we’re known for, but for now we are getting started with some reclaimed barn wood.”

While the opening date is nebulous, the official Coco Shrimp website has the Wylie storefront listed as opening in February 2026, suggesting that delicious fast-casual seafood could be as little as a month away.

Coco Shrimp began life as a food truck in 2016. The chain has expanded to 9 locations-soon to be 10-across the DFW.
