A year after its abrupt and unceremonious closure in Garland, a celebrated DFW restaurant is mounting a comeback. Pangea, a “concept inspired by global cultures, flavors, and connection” from Chef Kev Ashade is returning to the region in a new Dallas home, reports Dallas Observer.

Pangea’s second incarnation is coming to life at 1910 Pacific Avenue as part of the Pacific Place business center. Chef Ashade shared the news via social media post, where he offered a hint of what’s to come, describing it as: “A renewed concept inspired by global cultures, flavors, and connection — all under one roof.”

It is not yet clear when, precisely, Pangea will be re-introducing itself to the DFW, however diners won’t have to wait long to dig into its “Globally inspired flavors & culture”. Chef Ashade’s post describes the restaurant both as “coming sooner than you think” and “opening in the coming weeks”. Signage is up, suggesting progress is moving along beautifully. Based on the comments from fans, local foodies are more than ready to welcome Pangea with open arms.
